Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Was a Nigerian born, World renown economist. Born June 13, 1954 into the family of Professor Okonjo, the Eze, (a traditional King) in Delta State of Nigeria. Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Eweala, started her early childhood education at Queens primary School, Enugu, in the eastern state of Nigeria. She enrolled at St. Ann’s High School, Ibadan where she completed her Secondary School education. She thereafter, proceeded to International Higher School, Ibadan in preparation for Advance Level college studies.

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Eweala, embark on her journey to fulfill her vision for higher education in US in to embark on her University education in 1973. She was admitted to Harvard University to study Economics. She successfully earned AB Magna cum laude in economics in 1976. She further proceeded to MIT to study Master’s and PhD degree in Regional Economic & Development Economics in 1986.
